About San Joaquin County Superior Court
The California Constitution provides for a system of courts. The Superior Court serves all residents of San Joaquin County as the general trial court with jurisdiction over all felonies, misdemeanors, civil cases of all amounts, small claims, traffic, real property matters, family law, probate, conservatorship, mental health, and juvenile proceedings.
Court proceedings are conducted at the Stockton Courthouse, the Juvenile Justice Center in French Camp, and branch courts located in Manteca and Lodi.
San Joaquin County Superior Court has received multiple statewide awards recognizing innovation and leadership, including the Ralph N. Kleps Award for Court–Community Leadership and Jury Duty Compliance programs, as well as awards for cultural awareness and access-to-justice initiatives.
These honors recognize innovative court programs that promote fairness, access, and public confidence in the judicial system.
