Civil Harassment orders can be picked up from the Clerk’s Office (2nd Floor) from 3:30 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. If filed before 10:00 a.m., orders are available the same day. If filed after 10:00 a.m., orders are available the next business day.

Please read the following information carefully. There are different types of restraining orders, including Domestic Violence, Elder Abuse, and Civil Harassment.

 

Domestic Violence Restraining Orders

You may qualify if at least one of the following applies:

  • You are or were married or registered domestic partners.
  • You are related by blood, marriage, or adoption.
  • You live together or previously lived together.
  • You are or were dating or engaged.
  • You share a child under 18.

Civil Harassment Restraining Orders

Civil Harassment restraining orders apply to other relationships. The California Courts Self-Help website provides a guide to the process.

Elder Abuse Restraining Orders

Elder Abuse restraining orders are available for California residents age 65 or older, or dependent adults under age 65.
